This Privacy Policy explains how Mantita Games processes information when you play Castle Combo (the “Game”) or visit the Castle Combo website (the “Website”).

1. Who is responsible for your data?

Mantita Games is responsible for the processing described in this policy. We are based in Valladolid, Spain. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at hi@mantita.games.

2. Information processed in the Game

Castle Combo does not require a Mantita Games account. When you play, the Game and its service providers may process:

  • Technical information such as device and app identifiers, IP address, operating system, device model, language, country or region, and app version.
  • Gameplay and usage information such as session events, progress, feature interactions, and general performance data.
  • Diagnostic information such as crash reports, error logs, and performance metrics.
  • Platform profile and game-related information made available through Apple Game Center or Google Play Games Services when you choose to use those features.

We do not use this information for third-party advertising or remarketing. We do not receive your platform password or payment card information.

3. Information processed on the Website

The Website does not require an account. We may process information that you voluntarily send us by email and technical browsing information generated when you visit the Website.

With your consent, Google Analytics may process page views, general interaction events, browser and device information, referral sources, and approximate location derived from IP-based signals.

While Castle Combo was pending on iOS, people could join a launch notification list. For those existing sign-ups, we process the email address, consent choice, subscription time, and technical information collected to prevent automated abuse. We use this information only to send the one requested launch notification. The Website no longer accepts new sign-ups.

4. Why we process information

We process information to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Game and Website.
  • Provide platform features that you choose to use.
  • Understand performance, diagnose errors, and prevent misuse.
  • Measure general usage and improve gameplay and website content.
  • Respond when you contact us.
  • Send the one-time iOS launch notification already requested.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights.

Where the General Data Protection Regulation or similar laws apply, we rely on the legal basis appropriate to each activity:

  • Performance of a contract when processing is necessary to provide the Game or a feature you request.
  • Our legitimate interests in keeping the Game and Website secure, reliable, and improved, provided those interests do not override your rights.
  • Your consent for optional analytics cookies and, where required, optional in-game analytics. Consent also covers the iOS launch notification for people who already requested it. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation where applicable.

6. Service providers and platforms

Castle Combo uses the following third-party services:

  • Unity Analytics and Unity Gaming Services for game analytics, diagnostics, and supporting game services. See the Unity Privacy Policy.
  • Apple Game Center for platform features chosen by Apple users. See the Apple Privacy Policy.
  • Google Play Games Services for platform features chosen by Android users. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics for optional Website analytics. Google processes this information according to its own privacy terms.
  • EmailOctopus for collecting email addresses and delivering the requested iOS launch notification. See the EmailOctopus Privacy Policy.
  • Google reCAPTCHA for protecting the notification form from automated abuse. See the Google Privacy Policy.

These providers may process information in other countries and may act as independent controllers for information connected to your platform account. Their own policies and account settings also apply.

7. Website cookies and consent

Google Analytics cookies are optional. You can accept or reject them through the cookie banner and reopen your choice at any time using the Cookie settings button in the footer.

If you reject analytics cookies, we keep analytics disabled for future visits in this browser and try to clear existing analytics cookies under our control. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies on the Website.

8. How long information is kept

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, including security, support, legal, and accounting requirements. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and the settings of the relevant service provider. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to retain it.

We keep iOS notification details until the launch notification has been sent or you withdraw consent, whichever happens first. We then delete them unless limited retention is required to document compliance or honour an unsubscribe request.

9. International data transfers

Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, those transfers are protected through an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

To exercise a right, email hi@mantita.games. You can withdraw from the iOS notification list through the unsubscribe link in any related email or by contacting us. We may need to verify your request. You may also manage platform data through your Apple or Google account and complain to your local data protection authority. In Spain, this is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

11. Children

Castle Combo is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a way that requires parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Game, Website, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the date shown above. Material changes may also be communicated in the Game or through another appropriate channel.
